Silba is a small island, 8 km long, on whose narrowest part (700 m wide) is located the only settlement on the island - Silba. On this calm island there are no vehicles and no hotels.

The most beautiful sandy beach on the island, Šotorišće, is located right in front of the village. Numerous footpaths all over the island lead to other nice beaches and bays.

On the island there are shops, restaurants and taverns, caffe bars, post office, exchange office, a doctor and harbour master.
